Get to Know the Designer

Hi! My name is Erin Day. I have been married to my husband, Aaron, for 10 years and we have two beautiful daughters who are 4 and 9 months. Besides attending school for Environmental Design, I am on staff at my local church as the music director and children's director. I am also very involved with all event planning and design for my church.
This year I have decided to stop letting fear dictate what I do and don't do. I am now starting my first classes in Environmental Design, started a business where I make homemade furniture and I am started another business soon for event rentals.
I call myself a grasshopper because I love learning new skills and feel like I'm always jumping around to the next thing I want to learn, but I have always been in love with designing. I love creating a look and seeing it come to life. I enjoy renovating and remodeling homes, I recently was involved with remodeling an office building, and would love to be able to share the joy of design with everyone I meet.
Home should be a place you love to be. A place that represents who you are and what you love. Design is a wonderful tool that can help a house feel like a home, put a smile on someone's face and tell a story about what you love and what you've been through.
I know right now Fixer Upper is the big rage, but I really see myself in Joanna Gaines. She seems to me to be a fellow grasshopper. She enjoys running different types of businesses and he design style is very much my own. Here blog is on one of my most read. Check it out https://magnoliamarket.com/blog/
